Youth Development

Access to education and opportunity are powerful levers for long-term economic mobility. By providing youth — particularly youth in marginalized communities — access to safe, high-quality, and supportive programming, they develop stronger school engagement, social and emotional well-being, and more preparedness for postsecondary pathways.

RNFF seeks to invest in opportunities for youth that support student academic outcomes and well-being, close opportunity gaps, and increase the quality and capacity of teachers and youth workers.

RNFF prioritizes investments in expanded learning spaces that:

Provide quality programming and access to opportunities for students in- and out-of-school time

Train staff to improve the quality and capacity of expanded learning opportunities

Scale systems for recruiting and engaging students outside of the school day

Create and improve safe and inviting spaces for youth to convene
